The main character Eliza, mother of the family, compares herself to a pelican, a beautiful and mysterious bird. According to the legend, in desperate situations, this bird feeds her chicks by her own blood. In reality, all the time, Eliza deceives her relatives, steals and betrays her husband, saves on children ….
Only at their father’s deathbed, did the children learn about their mother’s terrible deception. How are children going to live with this truth? How will these news influence the fate of the whole family?
